
Laura Maristany is an entrepreneur and strategist with over 20 years of experience leading innovative solutions at the intersection of technology, talent, and economic growth. She is the Founder & CEO of Katch Skills, an AI-powered platform that transforms everyday learning into skills that fuel growth—for people, teams, and programs.
She also leads Prospera Insights, a consulting firm that helps businesses and nonprofits align programming with revenue generation and economic impact. Through strategy, program design, vast networks, and intentional partnerships, Laura helps clients grow and scale with purpose.
Laura began her career on Capitol Hill, eventually becoming a trusted voice in science, education, workforce, and tech policy. She served as Director of the Washington, D.C. office for NALEO, Executive Director of Legislative Affairs for HACU, and Associate Director for Constructive Politics at the Democracy Fund—advancing legislation and shaping national agendas.
Laura serves on the boards of the National Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce and Welcoming America. She was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit by the Spanish Crown and is a German Marshall Fund Memorial Fellow.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico–Mayagüez and a master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University. Laura lives in Virginia with her family. When she has a moment to unwind, she enjoys staying active, pretending to ski, and sailing along the stunning beaches of Puerto Rico.
